Pursuit for a Greener Future

In 2022, the organization recognized the importance of identifying environmental problem areas  within the organization. Sourcefit had average greenhouse gas emissions, and thus initiated an internal study to tackle this issue. Through a focus group interview of select employees, the team identified that waste management, energy usage, and food choices were the most significant drivers increasing the company’s estimated carbon footprint score.

Our food choices, particularly meat, dairy, and processed goods, significantly impact our Carbon Footprint. Additionally, Quezon City faces an urgent environmental challenge, generating 3,600 tons of waste daily. Proper disposal and management are crucial to avoid environmental issues.

Leading the
Carbon Footprint Revolution

Having a better understanding of the organization’s possible greenhouse emission drivers, the team worked on the creation of a specialized Carbon Footprint quiz that would be distributed to all Sourcefit employees. The team’s primary goal was to create a simple yet comprehensive quiz to understand each employee’s energy consumption, gas and fuel usage, mode of travel, recycling habits, and average food consumption.
